How to get clear skin is much easier then people believe but with all the misinformation on the internet it is no wonder why so many people suffer from acne. I myself struggled with acne long into my adult years and I could not stand looking in the mirror each morning because of the new cysts that would appear on my face.

Well that me is long gone and I now have beautiful clear skin and I owe it to a dermatologist who gave me the right advice and how the leading acne treatments do not work and really only take your money. Here are the tips I used to help clear my acne in a very short time.

1.	You have to focus on your diet but it is not actually greasy foods that cause acne. Instead garlic, dairy products, bananas and spicy foods all lead to acne because they are not easily processed in our bodies. They contain amino acids and certain compounds that trigger the release of extra sebum in your body and therefore causing breakouts. If possible eliminate these foods or otherwise limit them as much as possible.

2.	Sunlight will not clear your acne and will in fact make the hyper pigmentation much worse leading to acne scarring. Before you leave your house make sure you use a sunscreen that is oil free because this will protect your skin from the harsh rays.

3.	Washing your face more then twice a day will only contribute to worsening your acne. Twice a day is enough once in the morning and once again at night will remove all bacteria without excessively drying.

Acne is devastating to a persons confidence level so if you re struggling with acne finally want to get the clear skin you deserve I suggest you check out this information Stop acne fast.

Acne is a skin complaint affecting more people globally than any other skin disorder. In fact, almost 8 out of every 10 people will suffer from it at some stage in their lives, usually starting during the teenage years. It is the result of a hair follicle becoming blocked, causing the skin’s sebaceous glands to release sebum. This sebum mixes with dead skin cells and blocks pores.

Types of Acne

Acne is normally classified into two types: Inflammatory (primarily consisting of nodules and pustules) and Non-Inflammatory (mainly blackheads and whiteheads). It’s possible to suffer from both types at the same time, although this is more common in teenagers than it is in adults.

How is it Treated?

Treatment depends to some degree on which type of acne is present. Inflammatory acne is usually treated with topical (placed on the skin) or oral (swallowed) antibiotics. Several different types are used, with some of the most common being Tetracycline, Doxycycline and Erythromycin. The main intention here is to fight the bacteria, known as Propionibacterium Acnes, present in inflammatory acne. Benzoyl Peroxide is another treatment option which has been used for many years on its own, or in combination with antibiotics.

There are many acne creams available over the counter containing this substance. As well as killing bacteria, Benzoyl Peroxide removes dead skin cells and clears blocked follicles. Its use has a major advantage over antibiotics, since you don’t risk the bacteria developing tolerance and it can be used for many years without long-term side-effects. Patience is required when using Benzoyl Peroxide, as it can take up to six weeks before an improvement is noticed.

Non-inflammatory acne is often treated with Retinoid drugs. These are prescription medicines which are related to vitamin A. They help to prevent the formation of whiteheads and blackheads and cause you to shed skin more quickly. Again, patience is required; an improvement in the condition can take up to three months to be noticed. Using a combination of retinoids and antibiotics or benzoyl peroxide is recommended by many dermatologists as the most effective treatment.

br
Detoxification is a strong word. How many time in a day do we use a 14 letter word? Im guessing not many. But it is a word you should know if youre suffering from pimples. Detoxification is holistic term used to describe a natural way to expel toxins from your body. Get rid of pimples by detoxing.

What is toxins you may be asking? Toxins are a poisonous substance that is produced by living cell or organisms. Toxins are mostly proteins, but can also be peptides or small molecules. In simple terms Toxins
are bad for you and your health and could be the leading cause of your pimples.

Detoxing is a way to expel these harmful toxins from your body. In a healthy body your immune system should be able to take care of the toxins that form in your body on a constant basis. But if the body is overwhelmed by greasy foods, sodas, junk food and stress, your body cant handle the chore of dispelling the overload of toxins. Thats where detoxification comes in.

Detoxing gives your body a chance to heal itself.

The first thing in any detoxing program is to drink water.

Im amazed to find people who dont ever drink water! They dont like the taste or cant see themselves paying for water. Well, heres a reality check, our bodies are mostly made of water. Im sure youve been told before that our bodies are comprised of 60% – 70% water. The brain is 70% water and our lungs are 90% water. If youre not drinking water, then youre doing major damage to you health.

A glasses of purified water every hour youre awake during a detoxing program is a must. Sodas are not a substitute for water and neither is sugary drinks. In fact, you must stop consuming sodas and sugary drinks! They will not help your body heal itself. As a treat, after detoxing, you can allow yourself a can of soda.

The second thing is to eat healthy. Cut out the junk food and replace them with fresh organic fruits and vegetables. If you cant find organic products, then buy what you can. Remember to wash them well to remove as many pesticides as possible.

Try not to eat any process foods that contain corn syrup or fructose and sucrose. Refined sugars must not be eaten during a detoxing program. You must eliminate refined sugars from your diet. If you have the time, try to prepare your own meals.

Drink fresh carrot juice a few times a week. Dont go overboard as your skin may turn a shade of orange due to the bet carotene. Fresh Orange juice not from concentrate is a good daily drink. If you can mix some beet and celery juice every few days, that would help.

Eat 2 portions of fish a week if you want some protein. Tofu and soy protein is a good source of protein during a detox program. Turkey is a good substitute for beef, pork or chicken. Do not eat fried and greasy foods. Instead grill or baked you food.

Exercise at least three times a week. Raise your heart level for at least 20 minutes. Sweating will release the poisons from your skin. Consult a doctor before starting any exercise routine.

The body is a wonderful and amazing machine. It can heal itself if you help it. These are just a few things to get you started on a way to living a healthy life. I know that I mentioned a lot of donts, but use your judgments on what you can or cant do. Its may be better to start slowly and implement this program in steps. Drinking more water and cut out the sodas is a good start.

This is a detoxing program and should be followed for 10 to 14 days. Once the two weeks are over, you can start to cut down on water to 6-8 glasses a day and bring other foods into you daily life. Please try to cut down on refined sugars and processed foods.

Have a happy and healthy life and get rid of pimples today.

br
The sudden surge of hormones experienced at puberty can drastically and dramatically alter not only a childs physicality, but their personality too.

It is often said that the eyes are the mirrors to the soul, but if that is the case then your skin should be the mirror to your personality and physical state. So its not surprising to see teenagers suffering from severe bouts of acne start to withdraw into themselves, to hide away from activities they would normally enjoy, and develop a totally different personality from the usual outgoing and sociable persona you have been used to seeing.

The teenage skin texture changes to become thicker, with deepening pores, and an increase in sebum production (the skins natural moisturiser) that results in the skin becoming, and also looking very greasy.

This increase in sebum production also extrudes from the hair follicles on the scalp resulting in dull looking, greasy and lank hair, often with a dose of dandruff for good measure. Combine this with sweat production from the apocrine glands situated in embarrassing bodily places, the rise of a very distinct body odour, and a severe dose of acne, and you can understand why teenagers feel embarrassed and self-conscious about their personal appearance.

This is a time for adult sympathy with their situation, so you shouldnt dismiss their anxiety over these matters out of hand, or treat them as unimportant without the risk of deeply wounding their already fragile self-esteem.

Some reassurance should be offered to your teenager that you understand, and that you yourself have been there and done that so they dont feel like they are the only one in the world to have ever suffered with acne. Try talking through your experiences with them – it may have been a while ago since you suffered from acne, but to remember once how worked up you got over a huge volcano of a spot that appeared just before a date, may make you feel more sympathetic towards them.

Children these days seem to develop a lot quicker than in previous generations, so dont be surprised to see the first outbreak of spots in children as young as 10 or 11 years old. Acne can affect some individuals right from puberty and into their early 20s, and in some cases even their 30s, so be prepared for the possibility of a very long and bumpy ride!

Although it must seem tempting to pick at spots and squeeze blackheads, try to encourage your teenager not to do this as the results could look a lot worse than the original spot or blackhead ever did. Remind them that picking and squeezing will result in angry and inflamed sores, crusty scabs, and ultimately scars being left behind from all the damage done. Trying to camouflage acne with make-up is a lot easier when the skin isnt broken, bleeding or covered in scabs.

There is no sure-fire acne remedy, but try to suggest washing four times per day with a medicated face-wash, and drying the skin thoroughly with a rough towel to encourage the removal of dead skin cells that can clog pores and cause more spots to develop. There are plenty of over the counter acne remedies formulated for teenage spots on the market that they can try. If you can find one that works well, then great! But if irritation occurs it may be best to use a natural product made from plant extracts such as Pettigrain, which can help to control the amount of sebum produced by the skin. Neroli oil is good for skin tone. Chamomile oil helps to sooth the skin and reduce inflammation, and lavender oil is a good antiseptic and can help to speed up healing. On old spots that are healing well, use a cream that contains comfrey extract, which is reputed to reduce the risk of scarring to the skin.

It is hard to monitor what teenagers eat all the time, and they often consume large amounts of junk food while out of the house. Stodgy fried foods and chocolate have been blamed for causing acne, but there has been no medical proof to back up these theories, however we do know what nutrients are good for the skin, so when they do eat at home, make sure they are getting enough Vitamin C which helps repair and grow new skin cells. Offer plenty of fresh fruit salad for puddings, and fresh orange juice with breakfast. Good nutrition is the cornerstone of a good acne remedy.

These are just some tips to get you started, but there is a whole host of other helpful advice revealed by a team of experts in the management and treatment of acne in my new book, available for acne sufferers no matter what your age. See my Author Box for more details.

People might think that the only way to treat eczema is through medication and drugs made by pharmaceutical companies. This is entirely incorrect because eczema treatment may be approached through natural ways and even homeopathic treatment. The most common item used to relive pain and itchiness caused by eczema is hydrocortisone. This is an over-the-counter drug that you can purchase pretty much everywhere. But believe it or not, hydrocortisone creams can cause damages on your skin, too. Cure Eczema Today If you want to try homeopathic eczema treatment, you may use antimonium crudum. This treatment is used for individuals whose cases of eczema are considered chronic. This kind of eczema is characterized by severely cracked skin. Antimonium crudum is commonly used for warts and calluses. However, this is now accepted as a treatment for eczema as well. Your next option for eczema treatment is arsenicum album. Well, this is not really arsenic. This type of cure or treatment is commonly prescribed to restless individuals who are always on the go. These very same people are those who cannot stop from scratching their eczema. This kind of behavior causes damage to the skin and make the disease worse. This treatment’s main purpose is to reduce the itchiness. Always remember that even if these treatments do not require a doctor’s advice, stop using them if you see any abnormality or if your eczema seems to get worse. You see, any type of medication may cause allergy to some people. This is why you should not keep on using these products if they do not help at all. Sometimes, what could have been a treatment may even cause more damage. Lastly, you may also try natural remedies as eczema treatment. There are many herbal substances that can decrease the pain and remove the itching. Many natural items are also available for your use to relieve the pain.br

We all know the drill for beautiful winter skin: cleanse, tone, moisturise, drink water and exercise. However, as well as these being pretty standard recommendations, after a hard days work and with the cold, dark nights making us feel more lethargic by the hour, all we want to do is curl up on the sofa with a hot cup of tea and a comforting stodgy meal.

So how can we achieve a perfect complexion when were battling against so many seasonal drawbacks?

In the warmer months we tend to feel more youthful and alive; the sun encourages the feel-good hormone serotonin to flourish, which in turn makes us feel happier. Winter is a little more depressing and with hurried lifestyles being ever more prevalent these days, its easy to let your skin care routine fall by the wayside.

Whilst engaging in gentle exercise, drinking plenty of water and cleansing and moisturising every day is important, we like to provide our clients with a few extra, more in-depth tips to ensure that their skin is prepared for the winter.

1.	Vitamins and minerals you need more of
Your skin is the facade of what is going on inside the body and problems manifest in the form of skin complaints such as acne, wrinkles and dry skin. For skin to look more youthful and radiant and to be on top form, you need to ensure that you are getting enough vitamin C, A and E.

Eating citrus fruits will boost your vitamin C levels and restore the structure of the skin by boosting collagen production. It will also help to undo any damage caused by overexposure to the suns harmful UV rays. Vitamin A plays a large role in the maintenance and repair of skin tissue and can be topped up by eating more fruit and vegetables or by using topical treatments called retinols. Vitamin E smoothes out dry skin and replenishes the moisture and is available as a topical cream.

2.	Dead cells are the culprits of many skin crimes
Our skin renews itself every 28 days, shedding its old dead skin cells to make way for a fresher new layer. To make the most of this natural process it is important to practice a good skin care routine.

If you suffer from acne, or have dull or oily skin you can blame your dead skin cells. Responsible for a multitude of sins, if theyre not removed effectively from the surface of the skin they can just sit there, blocking the pores, ready to wreak chaos the next time you have a big night out planned.

Taking the time to run a gentle exfoliating glove across the face and body once to twice a week will ensure that those pesky dead cells are kept at bay. Investing in a quality daily exfoliating face wash will also have the desired effect.

3.	Call in the professionals
Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to maintain our skin, its often not enough and we simply resort to putting up with skin complaints when there really is no need. Its times like this when it is wise to call in the professionals.

Having spent years studying and treating peoples skin, professional medi-spa skin clinics can give you the expert advice needed to achieve beautiful skin whatever the season. Alternative skin treatments have come on leaps and bounds in the last decade, with microdermabrasion, IPL and skin peels being clear front-runners in the industry.

4.	Heating versus freezing, both play havoc on the skin
Constantly moving from one extreme to another can send our skin into overdrive and as people turn up the heating to full power in their homes, walking in from the freezing outdoors can be somewhat of a shock to the system. As we have no control over Mother Nature as to how cold it will be outside, to prevent outbreaks and chapped skin try to increase the central heating inside gradually to give the skin time to adapt to the change of environment.

5.	Refresh your outlook on this season
Finally a tip that is not widely advocated: start to love winter! Everyone tends to have negative thoughts about winter, which only leads to more negativity in other areas of your life. Try to seek out the positives about winter – snowfall, cosy nights, festive events and nature. Buy a good brolly to avoid the rain, wrap up warm and go out and have fun! A positive attitude will encourage you to be more active, maintain a healthy lifestyle and will see you – and your skin – ready for anything.

Aloe vera had vastly grown over the years. It is assumed that the plant is indeed a miracle in itself because of its healing properties. It aids in a lot of things including speeding up healing of burns, dandruff removal, and it also helps moisturize the skin. However, a lot of people are still dying to know from experts whether the plant is effective in all sorts of things or not. Just like any other treatments available in the market, this herbal plant had been questioned of its relevance in society. Many may not conform to the facts in its existence while others have misconceptions about the use of its extract. In one way or another, we may separate the facts from the myths. The aloe vera plant The aloe vera plant is a form of cactus that originated from the Mediterranean. It has prevalently grown in desert islands because of its ability to cope up with heat. It is made up of around 99% water and the 1% excess comes from nutrients, vitamins, minerals, sugars and other enzymes. Studies show from laboratory tests that the active ingredients of aloe vera are found in the rinds and gel. These two things are used either as an analgesic or for anti-inflammatory purposes. Among other significant components of the plant are the amino acids, salicylic acid, lignin and phenolic compounds. These elements are usually seen in skin care products manufactured by various medical laboratories. The facts about aloe vera The uses of aloe vera can be tracked down from ancient Greece and Rome plus from the Arab and Indian heritages. Cleopatra, the famous Queen of Egypt, had utilized the extract in her daily beauty regimen. As a lover for beauty, the queen had mixed the extract with other herbal ingredients to form a concoction that had helped enhance her fairness and her skins smoothness. Other known properties of the aloe vera plant have helped solve several body diseases and skin disorders. People who have been attacked by ulcers, gout, hemorrhoids and eczema had regarded the juice as the best treatment to relieve themselves of the mentioned disorders. Even an ordinary cold may be soothed by the use of the plant. The myths about aloe vera Since the plant had been believed to reduce inflammation and speed up the healing process of several disorders, people have regarded the plant as their best source of medicine. They believed that even without proper prescription from their doctors, they could overcome their conditions by the aid of products from the aloe vera plant. There are a lot of products in the market today whose main source is aloe vera. There is even one known marketing firm which had predominantly used the plant extract to come up with all kinds of products. They claim that the plant could heal all sorts of body conditions and that doctors have certified their products. If you are suffering from acne or other skin problems, you will sooner or later discover blackheads somewhere on your face. Almost anyone has had blackheads at some point. Lets take a look at what causes blackheads and how they form on the skin. Next we take a look at how you can remove them and most importantly what you can do to prevent them from forming again in the future.

What Are Blackheads?

Blackheads form when the oil producing glands in the skin produce too much oil and it collects in a skin pore. As the oil begins to harden, the blackhead forms. The top of the blackhead is exposed to air, which is causing it to dry out faster and turns it black. This gives the blackhead its signature look (and of course its name).

We still dont understand exactly what causes the excess oil production in the glands of the skin. Hormonal changes and other imbalances in the body seem to play a role.

How Can I Remove Blackheads?

You should never just try to squeeze a blackhead out since this could damage the skin and lead to infections.

Instead, place a warm compress on the affected area to soften both the skin and the hardened oil plug that forms the blackhead. Then using some gloves or a clean cloth or tissue, gently try to squeeze the blackhead out. If gentle pressure doesnt do the job, try softening it up with warm compress again.

There are also some commercial blackhead remover tools or blackhead extractors available. Discuss the use of one of these with your dermatologist.

How Can I Prevent Blackheads?

Of course the best way to fight blackheads is to prevent them in the first place. Start by cleaning your face daily with a gentle cleanser that doesnt dry your skin out. Using a harsh cleanser can actually lead to excessive oil production, which we are trying to avoid.

Use a gentle exfoliating mask weekly to remove dead skin cells and improve circulation on your skin.

Avoid oily creams, lotions and makeup. Use a gentle moisturizer instead.

Drink plenty of water and get out in the sunshine daily whenever possible for healthy, well-balanced skin.

By implementing these suggestions, you should see an improvement in your skin and the amount of blackheads within a matter of weeks.br
Have you been looking for different ways to start treating your acne quickly and effectively? It seems like there are so many different products and methods of treatment out there to choose from, so which will work the best for you? This is an important question and it deserves a thorough answer, which is what this article will give you, so you dont have to go through life ashamed of your own skin. In no time you can have the looks you have always dreamed of.

While there are many ways to treat acne, each method or product is designed according to a specific condition, such as acne vulgaris, the most common type of acne which is seen most commonly in adolescents. The reason that acne appears on the skin is usually because of a hormonal imbalance in the body, which occurs commonly during pregnancy in women and also during puberty in teenagers. When hormone levels fluctuate, oils are secreted into the pores of the skin, clogging them up and causing the breakouts that plague acne sufferers.

So what exactly can you do to treat this condition? You can start by doing a little bit of research on the internet regarding topical treatment products, which are essentially skin care products that are designed to clean deep into the skin and remove bacteria and dirt from the thousands of tiny pores on your skin. These products can usually be found in most drugstores and grocery stores, but its good to get online and do your research before your commit to one single product. By looking at reviews of those who have used the product before, you will know which ones have a high success rate and therefore will avoid wasting time or money on a product that wont work properly for you.

br
br
pDespite the great things people say about some acne products, I have found that most acne treatments simply did not work for me./ppBut after years of struggling to get rid of my acne, I finally found something that was able to almost completely cure my acne in less than a week./ppClick below to read my acne story/pp= a target=_new href=http://www.squidoo.com/myacnestory rel=nofollowhttp://www.squidoo.com/myacnestory/a =/ppSeriously, stop wasting time and money on treatments that just dont work.
