Use isopropyl rubbing alcohol by first applying it to a clean paper towel or cloth and use a blotting motion over the sauce stain until it’s completely removed.If this carpet cleaning process doesn’t take care of the sauce spot, mix about a half-cup water mixed with 1/4 teaspoon mild dish detergent and work this into the affected stain. As with the rubbing alcohol, use a blotting motion over the stain until it’s gone. Finally, dry the area with a paper towel or cloth with a heavy object like a book sitting on top.Getting Blood Stains Out of Carpet AreasMix an ammonia solution (half-cup water and 1 tablespoon ammonia) and soak the area, removing the excess with a clean cloth.Rinse the area with tap water using a spray bottle making sure to take out the excess with a paper towel. The carpet maintenance for candy and catsup stains are very similar to each other. First, get the excess candy or catsup up by blotting with a paper towel or scraping with a butter knife. For catsup stains only, go a step further to neutralize the spot with an ammonia-water mixture as described for blood stains.Next for both candy and ketchup, use a carpet cleaning dish detergent-tap water mixture (1 quart water to one-quarter teaspoon detergent; rub the spot with this mixture until the stains and spots are removed. Rinse the areas with tap water using a spray bottle and remove the excess wetness. Spray the areas again from the spray bottle with tap water and then apply a pad of paper towels and a heavy object so the area will completely dry.Cleaning Candle WaxIron the area on a low setting – this will force the candle wax to be absorbed by the material you laid. Every single one of these carpet cleaning tips can be used as alternatives to the many all-in-one commercial solutions that are sold in supermarkets and department. Of course, more difficult stains like acne medication, acid toilet bowl cleaner spills, hair dyes, and mustard with turmeric stains will require the services of a professional carpet cleaner.
